We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Naseer Haider Siddiqui. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Naseer Haider below.

Naseer Haider, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Are you happier as a creative? Do you sometimes think about what it would be like to just have a regular job? Can you talk to us about how you think through these emotions?

Since childhood, I’ve been fascinated by how cartoon animations come to life. Back then, YouTube didn’t exist, so I began teaching myself animation using a very basic computer. This curiosity and passion shaped my journey, and today, I’m fortunate to work in the field I’ve always dreamed of.

For me, there’s immense happiness in pursuing what I love while also making it commercially successful. When your passion aligns with your profession, it opens doors to remarkable opportunities and can take you to the peak of your potential.

My success story began in Pakistan, where I took my first steps in animation. Moving to Dubai at a young age was a turning point; I worked hard to land my dream jobs and built a thriving career in animation and visual effects. Along the way, I had the privilege of working with and meeting some of the most renowned celebrities in the world.

However, none of this came easily. It took relentless hard work and dedication to reach this level. Reflecting on my journey, I feel incredibly fulfilled as an artist and creative professional, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Naseer Haider, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

My journey began in 2002, when I was working as an intern and learning animation at a small television station. It was during this time that I realized the immense potential in this field and how much I genuinely enjoyed the creative process. As a young animator, seeing my work come to life on screen and receiving recognition for it brought me an incredible sense of joy and fulfillment.

Being largely self-taught, I faced numerous challenges. At that time, software like 3D Max, Maya, and After Effects was not only difficult to learn but also hard to access. Every project came with new challenges, and we had to learn, test, and implement solutions within tight deadlines. Unlike today, where AI tools offer quick solutions and advanced technologies make tasks easier, back then, everything had to be done manually, which required patience, resilience, and creativity.

Over the years, I’ve produced over 100 architectural walkthroughs for some of the world’s most iconic real estate projects, primarily in the UAE. I’ve had the privilege of working with major clients like Emaar, Nakheel, Damac, and many others. These projects came with their own set of challenges—working with expensive, slow computers and GPUs, rendering films offline, and ensuring high-quality outputs under tight timelines. By comparison, today’s multi-processing systems and advanced GPUs have revolutionized the industry, making workflows faster and more efficient.

Looking back, I’m proud of the hard work and perseverance it took to overcome those challenges. Those experiences shaped me into the professional I am today. My brand, Black Bird Motion Media, stands out because of our commitment to innovation, creativity, and delivering exceptional results for our clients. I believe in constantly pushing boundaries and adapting to the ever-evolving world of technology, and I take pride in solving complex problems with creative solutions.

I want potential clients and followers to know that my work isn’t just about creating visuals; it’s about telling stories and bringing ideas to life. Whether it’s animation, visual effects, or architectural walkthroughs, I aim to deliver work that inspires, excites, and exceeds expectations.

Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?

I wish we had more commercial institute who teach better way of learning when i was struggling with self learning critical animation tools.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

My creative journey has always been driven by the determination to overcome challenges and prove that this field has immense potential—both creatively and financially. When I first started, many people doubted my choice, suggesting that I pursue more conventional fields like banking or finance for a better future. But those fields never appealed to me; I couldn’t imagine doing the same repetitive tasks every day.

What draws me to the creative field is its dynamic nature—every day brings new challenges, and for someone who loves problem-solving, it never feels like work. One example that highlights this is a project I took on a few years ago. An agency had been working on animations for a major event for over a year, but their work lacked the dynamic quality the client wanted. The client rejected the animations at the last minute, and I was brought in with just one week to produce over 8 minutes of high-quality animation for a 16K x 16K projection mapping. It was an enormous challenge, especially given the tight timeline, but we embraced it.

My team and I worked tirelessly, creating captivating animations that exceeded the client’s expectations for a prestigious royal event in Dubai. Not only was the client thrilled with the outcome, but the project also generated a profit of over $250,000 in just a week. This experience reinforced my belief that the creative industry is not only rewarding but also filled with incredible opportunities if you have the skills and determination to deliver exceptional work.

My mission has always been to push boundaries, take on challenges, and create work that inspires and excites. This field isn’t just a career—it’s a passion and a testament to the power of perseverance and creativity.

After over 20 years of success in the Middle East, I am expanding my expertise to Atlanta, Georgia. My company, Black Bird Motion Media is poised to revolutionize the film production landscape in the United States. This expansion marks an exciting new chapter, focusing on attracting larger clients, offering expanded services, and creating opportunities for local talent in film production, animation, and virtual reality.

My vision is to integrate cutting-edge technology into filmmaking. Atlanta, as a thriving hub for innovation in the industry, offers immense opportunities, and being part of this dynamic journey is integral to my long-term strategy. Investing in the region’s growing film sector aligns perfectly with my goals.

In addition to business expansion, I am working on an ambitious short action film in collaboration with Los Angeles-based actor Kamran Shaikh. The first segment of the film has been completed in Dubai and production of the second part is scheduled to commence in Atlanta in Q1 2025. This project exemplifies Black Bird Motion Media’s commitment to creating globally impactful stories while leveraging the unique strengths of its international and U.S.-based operations.
